A Brief History
Walt Disney World was in the mind of Walt Disney an even larger scaled expansion of Disneyland in California. Though the model for the creation of theming was inspired by Disneyland, Disney had a greater vision for the park – an area that included entertainment and a look into the future of urban development or within a span an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT). Unfortunately Walt Disney died before the park and the park was completed by his brother, Roy O. Disney. Magic Kingdom is the first park and including the entire Walt Disney World starting October 1, 1971.
